Dougherty flies high in mixed media show!

Archer Dougherty never fails to surprise us with her work! From stained glass to intricate wooden boxes, paintings and drawings everything she creates is exquisite, well executed, and highly imaginative.

The First Friday reception for Archer’s show was well attended; we had a steady stream of people all evening long.

Archer was her usual bubbly self during the reception. She is so much fun to talk to!

Laura Wacha’s wild paintings were displayed as a mini show in the main gallery’s alcove and provided a nice counterpoint to Archer’s work. While Archer’s pieces are imaginative, Wacha’s work is insanely over the top. We love you, Laura!

Iva Morris’ lovely pastel landscapes also received a lot of attention. She just brought in several fabulous new pieces!

A special thanks to New Grounds artists Shirley Levy (right) and Leonora Durrett (left) for volunteering their time for the reception. This was a great event!

Paul Helphenstine is back! Thank you so much for helping us out. Paul studies art history and was our intern most of last year. We are so glad you can give us a hand with receptions again!

This was a great event! Thank you everybody for coming! If you missed the show it runs until October 31!
